Ideally located on the Placencia peninsula on the former grounds of the historic Rum Point Inn, just minutes away from the charming village and its world-famous sidewalk and Francis Ford Coppola's Turtle Inn.
A Pool Designed by an Artist
The pool at The Great House at Rum Point isn't just a place to cool off — it's a canvas. Its mosaic was designed by Geoff McFetridge, the Canadian-born, Los Angeles-based artist whose flattened, graphic figures have shaped visual culture far beyond the gallery world, from the original watch faces on Apple Watch to the dreamlike title sequences of films like Her and The Virgin Suicides. Look down from above and two swimmers emerge from the tile in his signature style: simplified, sculptural forms rendered in deep and pale blues, seeming to glide beneath the water's surface even when the pool is still. It's a quiet, playful piece of fine art built into the architecture of the property — one more reason a swim here feels a little different.
